Ink Smith Publishing accepts YA and trade fiction submissions. We do not accept non-fiction or children's books. Manuscripts must be completed, previously unpublished, and written entirely by a human. Our submissions are accepted on a rolling basis with a closed reading period November through February. 

Submissions should be sent to submissions@ink-smith.com, and include the following:

• Cover letter
• Brief synopsis
• Author bio and social media handles, please also note your comfort level using these tools.
• First three chapters in the body of the email. No attachments, if we are interested in reading more, we will request the manuscript.
• Three comparable titles in the market today that were published in the last five years.
• Please share the location of the last two independent bookstores you visited.

Failure to follow submission guidelines will result in automatic rejection regardless of the quality of submission.
